My name is Ellen Tarkinson and I am an home chef. I have no formal training and the only cooking class I have ever taken was a cake decorating class when I was twelve years old. I have been cooking for years for my family and friends. It all started while watching my mom make dinner every night for my family. I would sit on the counter, much to her dismay, and chat with her while she cooked. I'm not sure how much, if any, I helped along the way, but I feel as though I learned a great deal by just being near the process.
